Volunteering with the Practice

As of June, we are starting a brand new volunteer scheme which will give patients the ability to play an active role in supporting the surgery. Volunteers will be given the opportunity to take on the vital responsibility of enhancing the patient experience when they visit the surgery. We are asking for help in greeting people and assisting them when they visit the surgery, signposting patients to the services we offer and running social activities for patients and their carers.

We understand that life is hectic, however, if you could spare just one afternoon a month, that would be fantastic. Volunteering is a great way to turn your spare time into something useful, enhance your CV and gain valuable experience within a surgery setting. It’s also a great way to socialise and help shape the practice to provide better patient experiences.

Why Should I Volunteer?

  • Help support the practice in being a welcoming and accessible environment
  • Gain work experience, enhance your CV and develop interpersonal skills
  • Turn your spare time into something fulfilling

How Much Time Will I Need to Give?

As much as you can! We understand that life is hectic, however if you could spare just one afternoon a month, that’s enough to make a difference. We won’t put any pressure on you to commit to a regular time or day.
