Over The Counter Medication (OTC)

Many medicines are now classified as being safe to be taken without a prescription from a GP or Nurse. This means that sometimes if a GP feels the appropriate treatment can be bought over the counter, they will ask you to visit your local pharmacy to purchase this.

This includes requests from schools and nurseries for items such as painkillers that they will only administer if prescribed.
